Law Programs
The practice of law is increasingly international. Law schools have reacted to this changing landscape by integrating global case studies into their curricula, particularly in the areas of company formation, international joint ventures, intellectual property, trade dispute, and immigration and citizenship matters. Increasingly, law school faculty find that bringing international cases into the classroom are best supplemented by taking the students to the site of the cases, providing students more nuanced perspectives obtained only through firsthand experience. Law school programs typically organize their international study courses over the spring break period to create less conflict with recruiting calendars and enable both second- and third-year students to participate.
